Horse Lesons - BlueHorseGirl
March 15, 2010
Everytime I get on a horse I learn a very good lesson. It isn't always big and complicated. Sometimes it is the smallest thing. Sometimes I will do something stupid like looking down while trying to ask my horse to go (don't try it, he'll just stop, doesn't work). One thing I have really learned is that everything you do effects your horse in a different way. Even if you can't figure it out, you soon will. Sometime you think, "Oh, this horse is just being mean", or "He's just having an off day." Well he's not, you are doing something wrong. This is one of the biggest things I have learned in the past month of riding. Let me know what you think about this

Soreness...-RedHorseGirl
January 26, 2010
So. I went back out to ride my horse for the first time in about a month. I thought it would be fun, and it was. i thought my horse would be fresh, and he was. i thought it would be cold, and it was. The only thing i didn't think about was the fact that i may be sore in the days after riding. Oops. Yeah, i'm sore. Very. So glad that i am, though. I'm glad i "feel the burn", though. It gives me motivation to go back out again. Yeah, that is what i said. Go back and read it again if you want!
I want to go back because i love the feel that i'm not perfect and that i can change when it comes to horses. It makes me feel like i'm an athlete and that i am bettering my physical state. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me and if staying healthy means that i'll be sore for a few days afterwards, i'm okay with it. It's all part of the horse life, the one i'm addicted to.

Do horses go to Heaven? - BlueHorseGirl
November 22, 2009
Ever since Zuri died I've asked the question, where do horses go when they die? I mean we have to make a decision. Do we want Christ to be our personal Savior or not? I know that I am going to go to Heaven when I die because I have the Lord in my life and I asked Him into my heart at a young age. But horses, what do they do? They don't get to do this. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Will I ever get to see Zuri again? Will I ever get to meat her precious little foal? I hope I will someday! What do you guys think? I think the God is an awesome God and won't take away one of the things in your life that you love the most! Then again, when we get to Heaven it is going to be so amazing and we will have Jesus there that I think it won't really matter. I know that's kind of hard to say now, but it might be true. This is really what has been on my heart lately, so let me know what you think about it.

Gallop - RedHorseGirl
November 10, 2009
To begin this post, i have a question for you readers out there: Have you ever galloped? Ever experienced that breath-taking four beat gait that makes your heart pitter-patter at an irregular speed? If not, let me tell you, it is an INCREDIBLE feeling. There is nothing like feeling this super powerful animal beneath you and just letting go of your apprehension. You just have to surrender to that crazy-intense feel of flying over the ground and enjoy the ride. And trust me, you will. I galloped my horse, Red, in this field a while ago. His pal went ahead of him and so he was a bit impatient. After holding him back for a bit, though, i just let him go and race away from the reins. I just asked "are you ready, boy?" and let him go with a release of the reins. Red bolted away with a speed that surprised me, and galloped faster and faster, lowering his spotted Appaloosa body lower and lower to the ground. He didn't want to stop afterwards, but he did obey my tugging at the reins eventually, and was super hyper afterwards. There is no question that my horse loves to...

Horse People - The Acrobats - RedHorseGirl
October 23, 2009
In my opinion, horse people are some of the great acrobats of the world. We juggle home, school, social life, extracurricular activities, perhaps a job, and on top of all that and more, HORSES! It's true and stunningly amazing the way we seem to make time for our equine friends. So, good job, everybody! Keep up the good work! You have no idea how great your commitment is and how much it will benefit you in the long run! Stay strong!

Long time no blog... RedHorseGirl
October 23, 2009
Hey there! It's been a while since I last blogged, due to school and homework and other commitments. One commitment i haven't been keeping up with lately is that of my horse. As much as I love him, I have had to work extremely hard to put him into my schedule. I am going to ride him tomorrow, and I can't wait. . Right now, i'm feeling a little like I'm running around frantically, but I'm almost caught up with the world - just a little out of breath.
Anyway, I hope that Red will be happy to see me tomorrow! I know I'm gonna be ecstatic to see my boy tomorrow.

The Saga Begins - RedHorseGirl
October 15, 2009
This is so super cool! Here i am, sitting at a computer, writing down words that other people, like you perhaps, will be reading! Wow! I suppose i should say something about my horse life...Here goes...
I have a red roan leopard/blanket Appaloosa named...well, Red. I love him so much! I've been riding for about five years and started when i was 10. I ride both English and Western but my fave is English. Red and I both LOVE to jump. I got Red for Christmas about three years ago and we've been quite the pair ever since.
Both of us have come a long way and we both love to learn. I'm so blessed to own such a gorgeous and wonderful horse. I still can' t believe that my dream of owning a horse has come true!
Well, that's about all for today...at least for now...knowing me, i'll be back on this site updating you on my goings-on in a few hours.
Bye for now! ~RedHorseGirl
